Multi-Aid Programs

Since 2013, I have worked closely with MAPs – a local Syrian-led NGO based in Lebanon’s Bekaa valley. Their unique vision and commitment to ensuring dignity to the refugee community is inspiring. Your donation will directly support education, psychosocial development and protection to vulnerable Syrian children.

Idjwi Island Education Fund

The Idjwi Island Education Fund is non-profit organization with the mission of providing a better school for children in the village of Buhumba on Idjwi Island in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Idjwi Island, located in Lake Kivu on the eastern border of the DRC, has seen a dramatic increase in its population in recent years, much of which is the result of refugees fleeing violence in Rwanda and the DRC. The ultimate goal of the fund is to provide improved facilities, desks, books, and a safe-haven for more than 400 primary school children in this isolated community.

The White Helmets

The White Helmets is a grassroots-led humanitarian organization founded in 2013 to provide emergency services in areas of Syria where state-run services had collapsed following the outbreak of the conflict. We work to support civilians in conflict zones through the implementation of a wide range of stabilization and humanitarian activities.

New York Center for Children

For 29 years, The New York Center for Children has provided trauma-focused therapy services to victims of child abuse and their families, free of charge, for as long as their healing requires.

In addition, we provide tutoring, mentoring and extracurricular events. The Center’s services are offered in a child-friendly and welcoming environment. NYCC serves children from all five boroughs of New York City.

NYCC is also a leader in training programs on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of child abuse, attended by professionals and graduate-level medical, psychology and social work students.
